Excellent import guitar

For a Chinese-made guitar, this is actually very well-made.
Pros:
1. The Floyd Special is better than early Dean ML licensed Floyds.
2. The maple figure (likely a veneer) is very 3D.
3. The pickup combination is excellent!

Cons:
Not a whole lot really. The sound is kind of dark/dull/warm probably because of the trem block. I have an FU Tone trem block upgrade on order to replace it.
You can't feel any sharp fret edges due to the black neck binding, but you can definitely feel the 'waviness' when you run your finger through the neck. It's feels like the wood shrunk a little bit which would have left the frets sticking out a bit had it not been for the binding. I think this caused the 'wavy' feeling of the neck binding. It is not a big deal to me though. I can easily ignore while playing. The guitar is also a little neck-heavy, but not too bad.

Exceeded expectations

Always wanted to have this guitar- just beat any expectation. Have read that other axes have color issues but not mine. It is a complete gem. The finish is amazing and the sound is the best of all we have compared. Well balanced. Just need to replace Floyd rose with the original to have the best mechanical performance. But you need to know that is a lottery, you may have not gotten what you order. So up to you, no risk - no fun. I will order USA Dime Slime and am worried that it will be not so good as this one, just probability theory. Cause I`ve got a piece of art.

Color mismatch

I've bought this guitar super excited for the "slime" finish that unfortunately is very different from the pictures, in the case that's more yellow than green, so I returned the order.
The building and sound quality it's great in any way.

Nicht nur ein Hingucker!

Ich liebe das Ding einfach. Die ML-Form ist unglaublich bequem im sitzen und im stehen zu spielen, die Verarbeitung ist solide, der Sound brachial, auch für cleans und softere parts nutzbar... das Einzige was mir hier fehlt sind schönere Inlays und ein matter Hals aber das ist ja nur Geschmackssache.

Die erste kam leider mit defektem Dimebucker an, wurde aber umgehend von Thomann ausgetauscht. Die zweite habe ich nun behalten, sie kam perfekt aufgesetzt mit richtiger Intonation und gestimmt an (was bei nem Floyd Rose schon mal ne Stunde kosten kann, wenn mans noch nicht oft gemacht hat).

Schade finde ich nur, dass bei einer 700€ Gitarre ein frimeliger Plastikschalter zum Einsatz kommt.. hier hätte ich von Dean was hochwertigeres erwartet, selbst ne 120€ Harley Benton macht das besser, deshalb der Stern Abzug bei Verarbeitung.
Die Bünde stehen nicht über und sind schön poliert.

Warum macht niemand sonst eine ML Kopie? Die Form sieht nicht nur Klasse aus, sondern lässt sich auch genial in allen Lagen bespielen, vollkommen unterbewertetes Design. Das mit dem schweren Kopf verstehe ich nicht, die Gitarre sitzt verhältnismäßig gut balanciert auf dem Schoß und lässt sich besser im sitzen spielen als jede andere V!
