J’ai eu pas mal de 8 cordes, Schecter, Ibanez, Jackson, Cort sans jamais vraiment être convaincu.
J’ai essayé cette Strandberg, dans un premier temps, chez un ami et vraiment, ça a été un claque! Je l’ai donc commandé.
Ce manche parfaitement atypique peut sembler déroutant de prime abord mais c’est d’un tel confort que finalement il se fait oublier très vite.
Le son d’origine est vraiment bon aussi, même si je change les micros pour y mettre des Fluences Tosin Abasi, j’ai été surpris par le caractère vraiment précis, incisif, tranchant des micros .
Bref, c’est tout ce que je cherchais, je suis vraiment heureux, elle me sert professionnellement sur scène comme en studio, c’est un régal au quotidien.

Pros: unusual design, high ergonomics and extremely comfortable neck (very thin for such a number of strings), light weight and compactness. The special design of the Strandberg neck is comfortable and helps to keep the left hand in the correct position, relieving tension. The guitar arrived in maximum tune (it was only necessary to loosen the truss rod a little and tune the strings, but all other settings were perfect), it stays in tune perfectly. Before buying, I saw reviews that it was impossible to tune the strings with only fingers, but I can do it without a special key and without any problems. Bright sound without noise.
Cons: I found only two cons. The frets on the edges of the fretboard stick out more than I'm used to, perhaps the wood just dried out after assembly. And the corners of the fingerboard (chamfers) are slightly rough. Neither is a big deal and can be fixed, but for the price I expected a perfect instrument.
Neutral: The top belt clip digs into your chest when playing seated (a little painful), but I was aware of this feature. The guitar had old strings that started to rust a little, but that's normal.
