Us lefties take what we can get, so I took a chance on this Ortega. For the price it does not disappoint; it plays well, sounds good (amplified), and is put together well enough.
The colour is absolutely stunning, just as the pictures show it to be. But the finish around the sound holes is less than perfect; one of the compromises one can expect when opting for a product at this price point.
Acoustically, the guitar does not perform well of course, and no-one should expect it to; the shallow body simply is not up to the job of projecting a full-body sound like you'd expect when you were holding a conventional Spanish guitar. But it does brilliantly when plugged in. And unplugged or not, it feels and plays very comfortably.
Overall, I think it's money well spent.
