I’ve used this product for a long time, yet this seems like a new formulation? The wax component in my product was more prevalent than the cleaner component. I used to use it to clean everything, including fretboards, before piling them. With this bottle, it left a residue- likely wax- on the board, and my tape wouldnt stick when i went to polish my frets. I had to use a household glass cleaner to clean the board, then the tape stuck so i could clean and polish my frets…. I know this is an odd complaint, but it just is. With that said, the wax is GREAT. The body of my guitar looks awesome after using this product. I just cannot reccomend putting it on fretboards to clean them. Maybe on a finished maple board? I don’t know. I still highly recommend this for cleaning and waxing the body and headstock of your instruments.
