The LD Systems Maui 28 G2 is a compact, plug-and-play PA column system that, with its understated design, is suitable as both a discreet monitoring unit and an unobtrusive PA system. But this active column system, consisting of a line array and a subwoofer, is not just space-saving and low-profile: It also couldn't be easier to set up, with a plug-and-play design that means that users can get to work almost immediately. Its two satellite speakers feature sixteen 3" midrange drivers and two additional 1" diameter tweeters. The subwoofer is equipped with two 8" woofers and a bass reflex system that delivers even more low-end.

Hohe Leistungsreserven

Beim LD Systems Maui 28 G2 sorgen 2000W Peak und 1000W RMS Leistung dafür, dass die unscheinbare Anlage um die 100 bis 150 Personen beschallen kann. Dabei liefert jedes Monosystem einen maximalen Schalldruckpegel von 126dBSPL. Sein Frequenzbereich reicht in den Höhen auf bis zu 20kHz und damit bis an die Grenzen des menschlichen Hörvermögens. In den Bässen reichen die Frequenzen auf bis zu 45Hz herunter. Wer noch mehr Basspower möchte, kann am XLR-Sub-Ausgang einen weiteren Subwoofer anschließen. Selbstverständlich lässt sich der im System verarbeitete Sound aber auch per "System Out" an ein Monitor- oder FOH-Mischpult weiterreichen. Wem dieser Aufwand zu groß erscheint, kann nicht nur die Gesamtlautstärke, sondern auch die Bassanteile der Anlage erst einmal per Regler justieren.

Ready for anything

Singers, moderators, and presenters – indeed anyone who works with their voice – can connect a microphone directly to the designated input of the LD Systems Maui 28 G2. Its combo socket can accommodate both XLR and jack connectors. The same applies to the two line inputs; in addition, two RCA sockets are provided here, for example for hifi equipment. Singer-songwriters can plug their acoustic guitar directly into the jack socket of the instrument input. And as befits a modern compact PA, there's also a mini-jack for connecting a laptop, smartphone, or tablet. If a device with Bluetooth functionality is available, it can also be connected wirelessly to the Maui 28 G2.

Verlässlich auch im Dauerbetrieb

Wegen seiner Schutzschaltungen gegen Überspannung, Kurzschluss und Überhitzung eignet sich das LD Systems Maui 28 G2 für den Dauerbetrieb auf Messen ebenso wie für Events, die eine hohe Betriebssicherheit erfordern. Mit über 2m Höhe transportiert das zusammengesteckte System Höhen und Mitten optimal über die Köpfe von Zuschauenden hinweg. Apropos Transport: Das Birkenmultiplex-Gehäuse des Subwoofers ist zwar schwer, aber damit eben sehr auch robust. Wer die über 31kg schwere Anlage häufig bewegen muss, findet optional nicht nur maßgeschneiderte Cases, sondern auch ein passendes Rollbrett. DJs, Alleinunterhalter und Bands können die Anlage übrigens nicht nur im Mono-, sondern, ergänzt um ein zweites System, auch im Stereobetrieb nutzen.
