Little short of staggering

I took delivery of a Fryette Power Station PS2A from Thomann a week ago and the transformative effect on my 25 Watt Speedster Deluxe amp is little short of staggering! I'm not quite sure why but the the background 'hum and pop' noises from the amp (cooking breakfast as one of my friends calls it) is dramatically reduced! Could this be because of ground lift? In any case, thankyou for your guidance on this, I am delighted with the result. I'm getting much full and richer clean tones from the amp below 85db than I ever could with the amp alone. My wife and daughter are also happy; what is rare is wonderful!
