Great lip chinrest

DiogoR92 15.10.2026

This chinrest is made with premium materials and it provides superior fitting capabilities for those looking for a chinrest with a big slope. Since the lip is so prevalent, this chinrest can be turned into a baroque-style chinrest by a capable luthier's hands by hacking off the slope end, allowing musicians to ease into baroque 'chin-off' playing, thus letting sound ring more freely.

Very happy with the purchase

Nürnberg 14.05.2024

A truly excellent Guarneri model. As opposed to many of the less costly variants out there it stabilises the instrument both in the direction of the neck and sideways, very good for those not using shoulder rest.

Only downside for me is that, like virtually all chin rests out there the feet of the rest are cut at a precise 90 degrees to the screws which does not correspond very well to the shape of the top of my violin but thanks to the high quality cork it stays solidly in place despite not having optimal contact.
