It's a nice sounding piece but it's clearly not up to Theo Wanne standards...

So, before you make your decision, consider this: I playtested many of these, I liked them more than the other famous 3D printing mouthpiece brand (AT FIRST) so I ordered a piece. To my surprise, a 7* was closer to a 7 to my taste, but that's not the problem at all, that's just me. What's not me is a Theo Wanne piece that:

1. Doesn't seal properly, not one of them but 6 of them didn't seal properly, and I got the better sealing one, still, worse seal than THAT 3D printing brand.

2. Quality Control is non-existent: even the ring at the bottom of the mouthpiece, a Theo Wanne staple at this point, is a plastic piece with bad adhesive, it fell off after 1 month. It's has some "grooves" but it doesn't screw in place, it's just miserable.

All in all, it's a mouthpiece that should mostly be aimed at beggining to intermediate jazz players who take Jazz seriously (due to the price). Yes, it has the character and ease of playing, but projection is meh, it's definitely dark and NOT in the middle, and you need to playtest a lot of them to get a good one. I play metal Theo Wanne and as you'd expect, it's nowhere near this, as is the price though... When will we get actually good 3D printed choices? Hmm?

Thanks for reading!

Great Sounding Mouthpiece

I could not rate this mouthpiece highly enough. It is well made and easy blowing with great projection. It has in a very short time become my favourite go to mouthpiece. Time will tell how hard wearing and long lasting it is but it seems to be quite sturdy. It can be warm and mellow or/and be bright and edgy when pushed. All in all a really great mouthpiece.
