Great and very natural sounding tube microphones.

Was looking for sdc tube microphones, and these catched my attention because of very natural and lively sounding, which reminds a very old Neumann sdc tube microphones. SU-013 tube can be used almost on every source, especially if you like a very smooth and musical high frequencies. These are similar to SU-013 FET but has a signature tube sound depth and color. Well, one thing to keep in mind that it has noise floor: > 18dB (A-weighted), if for some very quiet sources such noise level is too high, then better is to look for FET sdc microphones, tube microphones almost always has higher noise level than FET mics.

Good sound, bad quality

I bought them and they sound great- but at the second use one of their holders broke holders broke when I tried to connect the mic to it. Im a professional studio engineer and I work responsible with expensive gear so its just bad quality. It never happened to me before with gear in such a high price tag. I contacted thomann before almost a month and they said that they will ship a new holder and they didn’t send it yet. Every time im asking they are just saying that it will happen soon. Now they started ignoring me.
Such a shame.
