I don't like it.
The AI feature works flawlessly. It's a really cool feature that I would like to see others implement. Preferably locally and not in the cloud, so it will work even after they cut the support, or they decide to put it behind a paywalled subscription plan.
On the negative side, the sound from the speaker itself is really poor. It soulds like you are sitting in a bucket screaming. Simply playing clean up and down the fretboard reveals an enormous hump in the frequency response around the 5th fret on the G string. Unforgivable! The speaker unit used (and maybe a lack of knowledge when it comes to dimensioning a cabinet) lets the unit down. At least they could have used a few % of the DSP power to even out the frequency response.
Moving the AI settings found to a Valeton GP-150 and using a Katana 50 as an "FRFR" speaker, resulted in an excellent sound. Using the built-in speaker did not. I saw some reviews online saying you should buy the 50W version, because the 100W has too much bass. That is probably sound advice.
Regarding the app. I find it difficult to use, ugly and not at all intuitive. I could come up with a list of usability issues, but why bother?
I guess Boss spoiled us with the Katana, but this one has to go back, solely due to the sound quality.
