I had some rosin build up on my violin and I tried this cleaner and it took it right off and did not damage the varnish, so I am happy.

I have also used this with great success to clean old gun stocks which have natural linseed finishes. It has left the finish with a nice shine to it and it has not been aggressive or harsh to the varnish.

In sum, this seems to be an excellent cleaner, being both effective and gentle on natural varnishes. A little goes a long way and its price is competitive compared to others. I will buy again and am very happy with it.
