Excellent and versatile

Pedal covers the “freeze” style functionality really well. The layers make for a fuller sound and with infinity decay off, it becomes a really nice ambient reverb.
The secondary effects are really simple to use. The delay sounds great although your not getting the control you would on a designated delay, same for the modulation. Both sound great and are useful additions to the overall sound but I personally wouldnt used these effects with out the freeze.

Overall, adds interesting layers to playing. Still need to learn how to use all the features but after 10 or so hours playing, it will be staying on my bored.

This is a strange but unique pedal. It's a layer, reverb, delay, modulation, octaver pedal all rolled into 1.

Create infinite sonic soundcsapes with this pedal.

There is however a learning curve to this pedal. Invest time in this.

Ho comprato l'MXR Layers quasi per curiosità, convinto di provarlo e magari rivenderlo. Invece, nel giro di una sessione, si è guadagnato un posto fisso nel mio rig. Contrariamente alle mie aspettative, la sua capacità di stratificare il suono e creare tappeti ambientali organici è sbalorditiva. Non c'è nulla di finto o digitale nel suo timbro; anzi, aggiunge una profondità e un sustain ai miei suoni puliti e solisti che non sapevo di cercare.

Its cool that you can attach a pianostyle pedal directly to control the hold feature quietly and intuitively.
