I use the support to hold a decorative old sax on the wall. The part that goes around the bell is not too strongly attached to the rest of the stand. The holes that let the screws pass to attach it to the wall are rather large and positioned such that there is distance between the wall and the support. This allows some movement of the wall mount after it has been screwed to the wall.
