Exact accoustic copy of an 8bit digital clap sound, I had a "clap off" with our keyboard player,, same sound on his Roland piano. Plenty loud too compared to my other cymbals. I waited for this iteration before buying ,it wasn't cheap but sounds superior to the rest on offer to my ears anyway. Two cons ,,1, it does turn slightly with heavy use so either spin it back or adjust your attack. 2 , feels great on the left and the right hand side of the kit,,can't decide which is better,, not really a down side unless I have to buy a secound one. hehe.
