I have owned many mouthpieces over the years, and normally play on a considerably larger rim size.

I bought the O4 and I really like the comfortable rim shape. On this mouthpiece I make an exciting trombone sound. It’s not too deep or too shallow, and it’s an all rounder mouthpiece for playing 1st or 2nd trombone, and solos etc.
I love how the air flows through this mouthpiece. It has the right proportions for me where it doesn’t back up with air, and I can move through the registers easier than other mouthpieces.

I have found the V3 too shallow for me, and the O3 felt like a 2nd trombone piece. The O4 feels great and efficient , with a singing sound.

Mundstück für Orchester und Bläserkreis

In intensiven Tests auf der Edwards hatte ich neben verschiedenen IB Mundstücken auch DW Heritage und Alessi. Mein Hauptmundstück, nach vielen Jahren JK Exclusiv 4 CL, ist dies geworden, groß/tief genug um Ton gestalten zu können, Rand schmal genug um flexibel zu sein, hervorragende Ansprache in meinem bespielten Bereich, in voller Lautstärke und Piano. In einer Kirche konnte es seine volle Wirkung und Sound entfalten, auch Zuhörer hat dies bestätigt. Das kleinere O5 auch behalten, da es mir für Stücke im oberen Register Sicherheit geben kann, mich etwas leichter anpassen. Beim Alessi war mir im längeren Gebrauch der Innenrand etwas zu einengend, der Sound ist allerdings sehr stark. Im tiefen Register knackt es richtig.
Etwas albern ist das beigelegte Täschchen (IB Mundstück), im Alltag nicht zu gebrauchen. Die Ringe muss ich nun testen, wie es sich klanglich auswirkt. Danke an Thomann für das Handling.
