I bought the tonewoodamp2 originally for the reverb and to see if it could improve the projection of my gs mini (koa). I use it with a woody humbucker from SD.
I took my time to find the good spot so that the contact for the vibration is optimal (it ended up being in the standard recommended spot with the lift kit to the maximum).
I managed to find a good range where I have the projection nicely amplified before getting to the feedback zone.
The effects are really good quality ! The presets offer a great starting point to shape the sound you want.
The best thing I realized is that it can be used with a looper. I put a looper between my humbucker and the TW2 and the loop is played with quite a good sound on the TW2 (for my taste, don’t expect too much). This gives a super portable setup to play with a looper.
Yes, it’s expensive, but totally worth the money IMHO. Now I don’t consider buying a new guitar to get more sound projection…

Je l'ai acheté surtout pour amplifier une guitare de voyage...et sur ce point, il ne m'est pas possible de mettre plus d'une étoile. Le nom AMP ne lui correspond pas. Je ne pense pas que cela dépende de ma guitare. Tant pis pour moi, je le garde pour ses possibilités d'effets. Donc pour le prix ...ça se discute ... heureusement que chez Thomann ...

This is without a doubt the best (one of these types of things) I’ve used. Built-in systems are usually rubbish anyway, and you’re really committing to them – massive holes in your guitar and whatnot. I loved the first TWA, but it had plenty of downsides. I stuck a slim power bank to mine and hardwired it into the battery terminals, which fixed the power problem.

I have an arched back on my guitar, and this has really made a difference to that. It’s a great thing to play with, but it comes into its own as an inline FX processor when plugged into a PA (or amp). Hands down, the best acoustic multi-FX I’ve ever used (outside of a computer, anyway).

Also, your old bracket is the same as the new one, so save the one that comes with this for a second guitar. CLASS!

Bought to use on my Taylor GS mini and was quite disapointed with the result, maybe the body shape of this guitar is not ideal to this product, not sure. But the product is inside a drawer not being used.
