My other Strat has a soft v profile, which I've played happily for tens years now; but just lately I get hand cramp if I play the thing too long, but I am 70. But I can play my Telecaster hours on end, still with it's modern c neck profile with no problems. So this gave me the excuse to build this new Strat with this it's more chunky 70's neck profile. And yes alright; and I can pretend to be Jimi Hendrix with the big head stock. I've used four neck bolts, and found no trouble drilling the second set of pilot holes; I've never seen the point in that 'micro tilt' idea anyhow TBH surely if you tilt the neck back, you then have to raise the action at the bridge. I plan on building a hard tail Strat, this year; and providing the Fender guitar company, survives the current White House madness, that build will have a 70's repro Fender neck as well.
