Almost great

Overall it is a playable instrument with cool listed features.

Here are my impressions after about a month after purchasing.
Satin finish on the back of the neck is very smooth and enjoyable. Fretwork is acceptable. At my preferred (mid to low) action, there is no fret buzz and no catchy fret edges so far (winter will tell, I will update it if they will stick out). Keep in mind, because of the thick hi-mass bridge, low action is impossible without neck shimming. The neck sits tight in the pocket, there is no visible gap. Obviously, they did not clean the frets after applying lacquer so it has already started to coming off from the frets at some random spots. The instrument itself is well balanced (thanks to the heavy bridge). Sound is ok, balance between the strings is fine, nothing is too boomy or too weak.

Yellow finish (I love the color) had one mark in the front side, not a big deal but still a bit disappointing. The biggest question is the jack cavity, there is a gap on both sides between the body and a mounted plug socket. Again, it is purely cosmetic issue (hopefully) but I have never seen it before on other basses).
Another trick is the foil on the pick guard. Perhaps, do not try to remove it until it is necessary because you need to remove all pot knobs and nuts which is annoying and there is a chance to scratch the plate (by the way, there are no spacers between nuts and the pick guard which is weird).

Setup out of the box worked somehow but it was miles away from numbers of a “good setup” on the Fender’s website. The P-pickup was flushed into the body and the neck was quite low as well. The action was incredibly high.

A “deluxe” bag is of a quite mediocre (if not low) quality. It is fine as a dust cover but I would not rely on it anywhere else.

With all of that, it still seems a solid instrument which sounds and feels good.
