The smart sound package

Deep bass notes kick in as soon as this weather-proof speaker is connected to a Bluetooth audiostream: Ultra-lightweight, and yet equipped with a full range of powerful features, the Electro-Voice Everse 12 is a battery-powered full-range speaker that will appeal to anyone looking for more sound pressure, whether it's for FOH or monitoring. The integrated digital mixer provides more effects than many external mixing desks, and these can all be configured using a control app available for Apple and Android as well as for tablets and smartphones. The Electro-Voice Everse 12 is delivered with a cover for the inputs and a power cable.

Not a cable in sight

From 45Hz right up to 20kHz – the frequency range of the EV Everse 12 is as impressive as its SPL of 126dB, the result of a 12" woofer and a 1" titanium compression driver. Despite this, the unit weighs only 14.16kg (just over 30lbs). With a fully charged battery, the EV Everse 12 will run for twelve hours at an output level of 100dB, and for six hours at full power while using the wireless Bluetooth streaming function. And it's even certified weatherproof according to IP43 standards, guaranteeing protection against falling water spray at angles of up to 60° to the vertical. As for inputs, it has two XLR/cinch combo jacks and a stereo input via Bluetooth or mini-cinch. The comprehensive menu used to manage the on-board digital mixer can be operated with one hand simply by turning and pressing the master control – or by using the app. The EV Everse 12 has a host of features, with 30 effects, manual phantom power, automatic feedback suppression, and sound presets for inputs and summing.

Power to the people

Mobile DJs can bring real power to the dancefloor with the EV Everse 12, while musicians and smaller groups can connect a pair of vocal or instrument mics and use EV's pre-installed sound settings, which they can further enhance and refine with effects like echo, delay, or chorus. An additional signal from a keyboard or loopstation can also be inserted via the stereo input, which can also be used by event managers and solo artists to make their music heard via Bluetooth. The EV Everse 12 is even weather-proof, making it a hit at outdoor parties. Stage techs and rental services will both appreciate the fact that, while the Everse's presets make life easy for beginners, the comprehensive menu also enables professional sound manipulation. Trade fair reps and salespeople alike will in turn be relieved to find their presentations sound as clear as can be thanks to the automatic feedback suppression function.

About EV (Electro-Voice)

Electro-Voice was founded in 1927 and has been dedicated to building sound reinforcement systems and microphones since the 1930s. The firm, originally based in Indiana, USA, is considered one of the industry pioneers and has developed many new technologies still in use today. For example, their hum-cancelling coil was not only a milestone for microphone construction, but also was at the origin of the humbucker pickups still used in many guitars. In the long history of the company, Electro-Voice has constantly expanded its offer and today sells a wide range of products for sound reinforcement tasks from entry to professional levels.

Enough sound pressure for any weather

The EV Everse 12 can be wrapped up against the elements using the input cover supplied with every purchase; Bluetooth connectivity is also a great help outdoors. For larger setups, the app can be used to configure and control up to six of the units at once, and because the XLR combo sockets have phantom power, the Everse 12 can also be used with condenser mics and active DI boxes. EV also offers spare battery packs which will double the time users can spend outside. For even more low-end power, the full-range Everse 12 can be mounted onto a sub-bass with a spacing rod, and for effortlessly successful conferences and presentations, the EV Everse 12 also comes with a ducking function.
