I Wanted to like it....

Great attempt and good on Epiphone for trying to evolve. Here are the reasons i will not keep it, however...

The freatboard i think is painted because after playing, my fingers looked chalky. That's a shame. I don't understand these shortcuts and deceivement. Is an ebony board really that expensive to get in its natural dark color? FAme does a hell of a job so i don't understand the shortcut.

The tuning is trash on the D, G and B strings. The Gibson/Epi headstock string aligment legendary problem. If you dont have a sensetive ear i guess you would be ok. It drove me crazy. I guess don't do bends?

Finally the weight. My specific one weighed 3.75 kg. Thsat's insane for a V. I decided to send it back. I might try again because for the money you do get a lot of postives as well like the ss frets, the tuners are amazing, fit and finish was actually pretty ok. I could forgive the rest if it weighed a lot less.

Schöne Flying V! (aber nicht unbedingt für jeden)

Vorneweg:
- tolles Aussehen, klasse Finish
- Hammer Sound, spitzenmäßige Humbucker
- tolle Verarbeitung, bis auf die Saitenlage, könnte ein LKW drunter
durchfahren

Warum sie "leider" für mich trotzdem nichts ist:
Zum einen ist der Hals für mich zum shredden leider etwas zu fleischig, trotz c-shape.
Zum Anderen der Hochglanzlack. Sieht super aus, aber klebt und wie. Bereits nach kurzer Spielzeit bleibe ich mit der Greifhand regelrecht auf dem Hochglanzlack kleben. Genauso mit dem Arm am Korpus, im Sitzen spielend. Das ist wirklich sehr schade. Natürlich könnte man den Lack am Hals runterschleifen und gleichzeitig einen Pullover anziehen, ist mir aber jetzt doch zu viel Aufwand.
Grundsätzlich ne richtig tolle Gitarre, aber leider nicht für mich. Wer kein Problem mit Handschweiß auf Hochglanzlack hat, kann guten Gewissens zuschlagen, herzlichen Glückwunsch!
