A high gain amp with very usable clean
Being the appearance or the name of the brand, you know this amp is perfect for metal sounds, it's got it's own character, not a 5150 clone or anything clone for that matter.
The clean channel is pretty harsh, so don't expect to get glassy fender tones from this but you usually know what you're getting into with this amp.
A big plus is the power soaker, it respects the original sound of the amp, and makes it usable enough for an apartment with the master at noon, or 11 o'clock.
Another really good feature would be the IR loader, with a factory setting and 3 possible custom IRs that you can just drop in the amp like you would a USB key, add to that the power soaker that goes to mute, this can be a really good recording or headphone rig.
Would recommend if you're not a John Mayer fan, it chugs, and is pretty compressed, sometime a bit too much, so much so that a clean boost can breakup your sound and turn into an aggressive crunch.
