This wireless bluetooth footswitch from Boss is amazing.
You can use it to control just about anything, DAW, browser, instruments, other pedals,... the list goes on.
I use it to control my Boss RC-5 looper to play/stop and move forward into my samples that I loaded into the looper.
Connection with the CME widi jack (get the 3,5mm/2,5mm adapter cables) and the setup is done in 3 minutes. You can use your smartphone (or tablet or computer) to assign functions and edit cc/pc's.
You can assign CC and PC commands and use it to turn pages or control websites/movies/etc, there is also an expression output (wah/volume pedal), usb output, a midi output and control pedal output (for extra footswitches) and you can power it through DC in (pedal power or adapter socket). You can also power it with 2 AAA batteries (preferably use rechargables)
It really works superb. The range is 10 meters (with the CME widi).
Pro's :
Soft switches, compact, extra connections, wireless, the ease of operation and setup, low price (for what it is).
Con's :
The biggest flaw I find is that this modern piece of equipment has absolutely no internal battery and the ability to recharge it through usb. This is a major setback. It's 2023 and really Boss? Still switching batteries?
I would very much like to see this pedal in a larger variant, with 10 or 12 switches. I would buy that instantly, even without an internal battery but I also think that there are other brands that have this and would probably be a bit cheaper.
Conclusion : the pro's greatly outweigh the con's. This is a very good footswitch!
