J'ai acheté quelques produits TRIAD ORBIT qui sont tous excellents mais celui-ci ne me permet pas de serrer à la main suffisamment pour immobiliser la boule, ce qui fait qu'on est obligé de serrer à la pince pour le faire, conclusion : cela perd tout son intérêt.

The must have

This is the piece you must have when buying Triad Orbit stands. It allows to take ful advantage of the system.

I own a T3 stand and an O1 boom. To adjust the height for a singer, let's say, I just unscrew the M2, freeing up the mike. I can adjust and bend the boom up or down with the mike staying quite vertical. When the height is accurate I just have to fine setup the mike and secure the M2 then.

Premium price for premim quality

Yes Triad-Orbit stuff is expensive. It is really high priced. For that you get premium stands that will not budge, are very smooth and reliable. I used them to mount streaming camera's and do classical recordings where the stand must not move a mm. I also have a bunch of German stands and they are good. but when it needs to be perfect and strong, or when the floor is uneven, I take the Triad-Orbit.
