Sennheiser XS Lav USB-C

This connects and works right away with Windows (also via USB-A adapter), Linux, and on an Android phone with a USB-C socket. The gain is not very high, and the maximum SPL is quite low. The microphone mounts only up or down on the clip (not sideways or tilted out), but the barrel diameter isn't listed, so you need to measure if another clip will fit. Good cord length, compact size, windscreen... For the price, it has a good enough frequency range, noise floor, and flatness for speech or not-too-loud instrument practice. This is a significant aural upgrade from a built-in device microphone and much more convenient than a broadcast mic for recording while moving, providing good camera framing, or impromptu recording.

This is the right lavaliere mic for DJI Osmo Action 3! No chinese brands, no adapters! There's no info all over internet on the subject. Everybody is using all kind of adapter cables. So I made a contact with Sennheiser customer support (via email), who was positive that it shouldn't be any connectivity issues, but I was unable to reach DJI (no real customer suport for such issue) to confirm that. So I took the risk and made the order for the mic. I'm happy with the end result - just plug and go! Lower the gain setting in the cammera to 0 db first.

Ein Mikro welches bei mir vorrangig als Ersatzteil für meine Funkstrecke dient, welches unheimlich flexibel im Einsatz ist und durch USBC fast überall verwendet werden kann. Getestet habe ich es bisher an meinem Macbook Pro M1 und Ipad Pro 4. Gen. auch mit Dockingstation nutzbar, die einen separaten Daten USBC Anschluss zur Verfügung hält.

Tonqualität in gewohnter Sennheiser Manier, ich bin Fan von Ihren Produkten, im Minisegment, auch inEars usw. um so mehr überraschte mich das Mikro nicht wirklich, es liefert einen sauberen soliden Klang den ich von einem Lav. Mikro erwarte. Hier kann Rode ganz klar einpacken.

Einziges Manko ist hier wirklich nur das Zubehör, also das welches nicht dabei ist, außer einer Stofftasche zur Verpackung. Hier hätte ich mir durchaus noch einen Windschutz, eine Kragenklemme oder zumindest eine Kragenspinne gewünscht und der Windschutz fehlt komplett.
Dennoch passt das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis durchaus, ich würde sogar sagen, auch hier bekommt man mehr Qualität für wenig Geld. Evlt. erklärt sich dadurch die fehlenden Komponenten. ;-)

Fazit:
Wer ein günstiges aber hochwertiges usb C Ansteckmikro braucht, ist damit gut bedient und wird vom Sound mehr als zufrieden sein, sollte aber nicht vergessen eine zusätzliche Kragenklemme zu bestellen. eine Standard Normgerechte Klemme von Thomann sollte in jedem Fall passend sein. Fragt aber lieber noch einmal beim Berater nach.
