I wanted to use this microphone for vocals after seeing so many good reviews. I tested it and, even though it feels it outperformed many microphones in the same price range (Lewitt, At4040, WA-14), I did not feel it fitted my voice. I feel it kinda emphasised the low part of my voice in a way that I could not get rid of it even with EQ. This microphone is still great value for money, seems really well built, and a nice case is provided with it.

One of the best at the price range

I've been using the sE4100 mainly for vocals, and I couldn't be happier with it. The sound is clear, detailed and very natural, without the harsh top end that many condensers in this price range tend to have. It captures every nuance while remaining smooth and easy to mix.

The build quality is excellent, and the included shock mount and case make it feel like a much more expensive microphone. The self-noise is also impressively low, making it suitable for quiet recordings.

I've compared it with several microphones around this price point, and the sE4100 consistently stands out. Whether you're recording vocals, acoustic guitar or other instruments, it's an incredibly versatile microphone.

Highly recommended if you're looking for a professional-sounding condenser microphone without spending a fortune. It offers exceptional value for the money.

For the price it is amazing. The sound is balanced with a very tasteful and treble boost, that doesn't get overpowering. The build quality isn't Neumann-level, but for the price point it is absolutely adequate.
