This speaker is easy to recommend for users who don’t need to cover very large venues and who aren’t looking for extreme SPL purely for electronic music.
The bass is dynamic and warm, with surprisingly strong output for its size. I’m using two units, and when they are correctly linked and placed together, they deliver a noticeably fuller and more powerful low end.
It won’t compete with 18" subs, nor is it meant to, but within its intended category it performs exceptionally well. Flexible crossover and phase control, dedicated high frequency outputs for top speakers, solid build quality, and relatively compact dimensions are all clear strengths.
While weight may be a consideration for some users, it’s not an issue for me. The only feature I would like to see added is built in DSP, similar to the 15" Sonar 115 Sub D, which is also slightly more affordable.
Overall, a very capable and well balanced subwoofer that I can confidently recommend.
