HEDD Type 30 MK2

I’ve been using the HEDD Type 30 MK2 for over three years now, and it remains one of the most satisfying audio investments I’ve ever made.

First off, the build quality is exceptional. These speakers feel incredibly solid and well-engineered, with a premium finish that reflects serious attention to detail. They’re clearly designed to last, and after years of regular use, they still look and perform like new.

Sonically, what stands out most is the clarity—especially in the low end. The bass response is tight, controlled, and impressively detailed, with excellent attack that makes everything from kick drums to basslines feel punchy and precise. The overall sound signature is transparent and revealing, making them ideal for both critical listening and professional work.

What truly elevated my experience, though, was the after-sales support. At one point, one of the speakers suddenly stopped producing sound. I reached out to HEDD, and their response was outstanding—they shipped me two replacement DSP units (for both speakers) free of charge, provided clear installation instructions, and even maintained my warranty coverage. That level of customer care is rare and speaks volumes about the company’s commitment to its users.

Overall, the HEDD Type 30 MK2 continues to impress me even years later. Between the outstanding build, superb sound performance, and exceptional support, it’s a product I can confidently recommend to anyone serious about audio.

Habe mein gesamtes Studio neu aufgesetzt und es stellte sich die Frage nach geeigneten Speakern für einen Soffit-Aufbau - die Lautsprecher sollten in die Wand integriert werden. Da ich schon vorher auf den HEDD Type 07 gearbeitet hatte, kannte ich die hochauflösenden Treiber bereits.

Der 30MK2 hat mich aber staunen lassen - mit den geschlossenen Ports und dem "Extended Range" Setting erreicht man unfassbar klare Tiefenwiedergabe, ein Subwoofer ist vollkommen hinfällig. Der Mitteltöner ist ebenfalls extrem definiert - man könnte jetzt beim Hochtöner über die Bändchen-Technologie diskutieren - Fakt ist aber, dass die Höhen jedenfalls kristallklar und seidig wiedergegeben werden. Sie sind auch bei Weitem nicht so scharf wie beim direkten Konkurrenten von ADAM.

Klare Kaufempfehlung für all jene, die sich immer schon einen Midfield-Monitor überlegt haben und genügend Platz im Studio schaffen können!

Después de semanas de reviews y diferentes opciones en mente, escuché monitores como Focal Trio 6be que eran los que consideré y me gustó más el detalle o precisión que presentaban los Hedd Type 30mk2 especialmente en frecuencias graves. Venía de trabajar con monitoreo Adam y fue muy fácil la transición sin el sonido filoso o perforante de Adam. Puedo durar más horas en estudio sin fatiga. ¡¡Una excelente opción!!
