A TERRIFIC Jazz Bass
I've had the bass for 2 weeks now and after one rehearsal and a gig I can assure it sounds and plays really great.
Sound wise it has the beautiful growl of the Js from the 60s, a bit dark and with good dynamic range and a sound that has more push than the Fenders I had and I ended up selling because they didn't work well enough. I bought the bass to review it and return it but.... it stays.
The war against is not only in the court. This is the war. It simply sounds better than most of the high end F's I had and played. Period.
The only drawback is that the neck dive is notorious. Nothing that some ultralight tuners won't solve. The weight of my unit is 3,96kg. I expected a bit less but it's pretty comfy and with the new tuners it will be around 3,8kg which is the sweet spot for a jazz.
