Finally found THE pick!
MikeTheRiffer 20.11.2025
I really took a risk with Chicken Picks after reading the reviews. I went from Ultex 2.0mm(with the rhino) to the triangle version which was a revelation and completely changed my playing, now I ONLY use triangle shaped picks for increased stability when tremolo picking.

Unfortunately, they came thickest at 1.14mm and I knew that was holding me back since 2mm was the sweet spot for me.

I stumbled on these picks for that reason and first went with the Bermuda III XL which was amazing, I still use the first st one, a testament to their durability.

It improved every aspect of my playing but especially the ATTACK as well as removing that CHIRP you get with Ultex. It sounds like a tortex attack but with more umph.

Anyway, I then tried the smaller Bermuda III since the XL were a bit bulky and I wanted to pick more from the wrist than elbow for extra endurance when playing.

It definitely helped but I felt I was missing the strings sometimes, this is after allowing days of persistent use to acclimate to the smaller size.

That's one I discovered the "pointy" version which not only had a sharper point, it was LONGER(30mm) but also THICKER(2.7mm).

The first moment I played it, EVERYTHING was easier, I didn't have to acclimate or anything. I was on auto pilot. It literally improved every technique at least 10% on the first session.

I am currently still using the first pick I originally used and only know is it showing any significant wear on the tip i.e its starting to look more like the normal Bermuda III, which is still crazy good!

You can also sharpen the point using sand grit to bring back precision. It really is worth the money.

Picks at the end of the day are unique to every person's hand since we all have different techniques when hitting the string but DON'T let the initial PRICE deceive.

You will save way more by using this single pick than going through two packs of tortex as I did and have a better time playing while doing it.

Violinists pay ridiculous money for their bow which is wood with some horse hair on it, why shouldn't we guitarists? Best picks ever!

I just pray they make a Black or Red version of this pick. I might leave a message on their site as a suggestion.

Thank you Thomann for providing us with the tools we need and everyone that makes things work behind the scenes including the person reading and approving comments. Such a great company!

Oooft!

3 picks in one! Shreddy on all guitars types, Taylor acoustic, Picado Flamenco, and Gibson and Ibanez guitars. I slightly bevel them a little more cos they’re a bit rough out of the packet, but they really are great, they project and seem to give my acoustic this soupçon of OD. Go figure! Recommended and the 2.1s

Vom Badazz zum Bermuda
Stringslinger 18.10.2021
